MSB1210-LF 제품 상세 정보

The MSB1210 is the world’s 1st hybrid demodulator to receive both analog terrestrial TV signal and digital
terrestrial TV signal. It contains the state of the art Signal Processing to offer high quality reception of analog
terrestrial TV signals compliant with PAL B/G, PAL I standards. It also contains a superior Coded Orthogonal
Frequency Division Multiplex (COFDM) demodulator that is both Nordig Unified and DVB (as defined in ETS 300
744 specification) compliant. It can be used in all 2K, 4K, and 8K modes with 5, 6, 7, and 8 MHz channels and
is capable of receiving all modes of transmission.

The device includes a high performance 11-bit A/D converter capable of accepting direct IF at 36 or 44 MHz.

It can also support low IF, and ZIF signaling. Sampling rates required for all these frequencies in 5, 6, 7, and
8 MHz OFDM channels can be generated from a single 20.48 MHz crystal or a 28.8 MHz crystal. Alternatively,
there is an option to replace this crystal with an external clock input from Tuner. A digital filter with high
rejection capability is also added to cope with digital or analog adjacent channels before digital interpolator.

The MSB1210 is able to recover up to +/- 500 kHz of the frequency offset. A sophisticated algorithm controls

all acquisition and tracking operations to reduce the scanning time. This mechanism ensures minimum
interaction, maximum flexibility and fast acquisition. It also offers maximum likelihood algorithms that allow
the demodulator to synchronize and extract the TPS parameters even with a SNR of -5 dB.

Blind acquisition mode enables automatic detection of all OFDM signal parameters, including mode, guard

interval and spectral inversion. The frequency capture range is sufficient to compensate for the combined
offset introduced by the tuner and broadcaster without re-programming the tuner. Having the excellent ability
to receive extreme low C/N signals gives broadcasters the benefit of wider coverage, while superior multipath
processing algorithms provide excellent Single Frequency Network performance.

Dynamic FFT window positioning enables optimal performance in the presence of changing pre-echo and

post-echo profiles. The position is always optimized even with echoes with a delay longer than guard interval.
Combining with channel prediction algorithms makes MSB1210 suitable for portable TV applications.

A unique engine that actively filters out impulse interference, without affecting normal performance, has been

implemented. This reduces the effect from vehicles and electrical appliances that are known to have
detrimental effects on the quality of digital TV reception.

The high monitoring capability provides the information of channel profiles, signal-to-noise ratio, pre-Viterbi

BER, post-Viterbi BER, and Error Second Ratio, etc. The error rate monitoring periods are programmable over
a wide range.

Serial or parallel MPEG transport stream output can be interfaced to all commonly available processor chips.

There is also the option for the MPEG stream to be output under the control of an external clock signal. The
MSB1210 is packaged in a 7x7 mm 48-pin LQFP and is very low power.
